The Favela Project has two core objectives:

1. The first is to organize events that will benefit the children in Brazil's favelas using the game of soccer to positively impact their lives This will include "friendly" matches between local teams and clinics led by professional players and coaches.

2. The second is to provide American Soccer players who cannot afford it the opportunity to experience the passion and beauty with which Brazilians play the game. The Favela Project will provide scholarships for players who qualify to travel on Brazilian Touch Soccer Tours which will include doing community outreach in Brazil.
