The Favela Project is a not for profit organization that uses soccer as a vehicle for positive change in the lives of children in some of Brazil's poorest urban areas. The Favela Project has two core objectives. The first is to work in conjunction with Brazilian Touch Soccer Tours to plan events to benefit children in Brazil's favelas, or shanty towns. The second is to provide scholarships for eligible American youth soccer players to travel to Brazil to experience Brazilian Touch Soccer Tours and to give back to children in need in the favelas.

The Favela Project is based in New York City, NY. USA and works in partnership with Soccer Without Borders, a 501 (c)(3) organization that is based in Oakland, CA.
